The Fault In Our Stars

Hello there readers .long time no see, right?? well sorry for that .we are very busy right now as the final examination getting closer and closer.
First of all, how was your day? good then. lets get started. Have you guys watch the movie The Fault In Our Star? well it is interesting though.Romantic.Passionate and can make you cries ( Yeah guys do cry mate. :D )
so our book review for today is.... (Drum rolling )  The Fault in Our Star by John Green.

So here's the story. A cancer girl meets hot boy. Hot boy and cancer girl fall in teenage love and go on adventures to Amsterdam together. Cancer girl is disappointed by her meeting with the author whom she idolizes. Cancer girl and hot boy admit their love to each other and have physical relations. But in the end, cancer girl lives while hot boy dies. The end.

What? How could that boy is the one who dies? Nonsense! Well don't worry about it. I'll explain it.

Hazel Grace, average teenager except for the fact that she's got a cancer inside her body and her lungs not working well.Attending Support Group a new boy catches her eye which is Augustus .Hazel shares her favorite book, An Imperial Affliction, with Augustus, and together they obsess about the unsolved ending. Augustus manages to somehow get through to the author and when Hazel emails him, he invites her to come to Amsterdam to discuss the ending of the book. A fan's dream come true. Yeay!!

So Augustus surprises Hazel by telling her that he still has his wish (the "Wish" that they grant to dying children) from when he had cancer and lost his leg, and he'd happily use it to take her to Amsterdam to meet Peter Van Houten, the author of An Imperial Affliction. Wow.. How romantic it was!!. Hazel are very excited with that., but first she has to convince her hovering, worried parents and her skeptical doctors.

Eventually, they manage to get their trip in order and take together with Hazel's mother (Well incase of anything happened). But when they meet Peter Van Houten, it doesn't exactly go as planned. He doesn't answer any of Hazel's questions. Hazel is angry and upset. Lidewij, the assistant of Van Houten fell sorry for them and takes her and Augustus out to explore Amsterdam. They see Anne Frank's house, Hazel had to climb the stair , but then it was redeemed because she and Augustus finally kiss. Ohh yeahh!! Then they go back to the hotel room and even steamier things happen. Oopss!! Explicit content.

Augustus cancer has returned, and it was very, very bad. When they return to Indianapolis, it's clear that Augustus's health is critical and he might not have much time left. In a heartbreaking scene, Hazel and Isaac even share the eulogies that they wrote for him. Throughout it all, Hazel is there with Augustus, until the very end.

When he dies, Hazel is shocked and filled with grief. At his funeral, though, she gives a different eulogy than the one she had written him. Why? Well, she realizes that she needs to deliver something that's tailored to his parents, well because they are the one who are suffering at that time. (Augustus is already R.I.P)

At the funeral, she's shocked to see that Peter Van Houten is there. She talks to him and realizes that he wrote An Imperial Affliction because he had a daughter who died of cancer. She's no closer to liking Van Houten as a person, but she understands a little more why he's so tortured and crotchety. She also learns from Isaac that Augustus was writing something for her before he died. She proceeds to go on a kind of crazy search for what he's written, which she thinks might be the alternate ending to An Imperial Affliction that she wanted so badly. She also learns that her mother is taking classes to become a Support Group leader, and is relieved that there will be life for her parents after she dies.
At the very end, she learns from Lidewij that Augustus wrote her an eulogy that he sent to Van Houten. The eulogy states that he hopes that she's happy with the choices she made.

Hazel says that yes, she is happy.
The END.

Oh, how sad . .  :'( . it indeed was a very good book to read. very, very, very famous story ,. (well especially for girl, i am not sure if guys do enjoy love and romantic theme ) .Overall,it is 9/10 from me .Yeah guys do read this book . especially for those who are in a relationship right now, you can learn the meaning of true love by this novel.
till we meet again later, see yaa  :D

The Five People You Meet In Heaven

Hi peeps..
It has been quite a long time since my last post.. hehe
Probably I was too busy with my assignments (i think so)

Ok, so today I would like to share on another novel, which is THE FIVE PEOPLE YOU MEET IN HEAVEN by Mitch Albomthat might get into your reading-list as this novel had attracted my attention as well..

OK, here's the cover page of the novel that I'm gonna talk about on this post of mine. It kinda simple, but believe me, the story gonna catch your attention until You cannot afford to put it down before finish reading it. Serious talk.

So, how was your first impression of this book? Lame? Boring? Uninteresting? or it did caught your attention? well, you kinda right. The cover didn't catch my attention also at first, but I still do read this book. Well, my decision was right. Wanna know why ? so here's a little bit about this book:

Ok, for the early stage of the story, the writer more likely to introduce the main character of the novel, which is The Committed Eddie. He is such a committed, strong, and determined person who was dreaming on joining the national army service. With his great combat skills and his strength inside him, he was a perfect candidate for that. In short, he has all the things that girls adore to. Long story shorted, Eddie managed to join the army although his father was disagree with his decision. For me, his father was a scam as all he know to do are gambling and get drunk. he never care about his children. He thought his children by using the harsh way, hitting, scolding, and all of the other harsh thing. During the WWII, Eddie, along with some of his team members including their captain, was captured by the enemy side and forced to work at the coal mine as war prisoners in Phillippines. After a long time being there, they managed to escape the most unbearable moment of their life after a great encounter with the enemy. Unfortunately, Eddie turned to a handicapped person and was retired as an army due to that incident. What a horrible way to end their suffer there.

Since then, Eddie was trapped at his old, gloomy, and lame neighborhood due to his disabilities, turned into a hopeless person. After his farther died, Eddie has to replace his father position at a theme park known as Ruby Pier as a head technician. Since then, Eddie’s life ‘trapped’ there, fixing rides at the amusement park until on his 83rd birthday. A very tragic accident occurred at Ruby Pier and Eddie died trying to save a girl from a falling cart.  With his final breath, he feels two small hands in his, and then nothing. He awakens in the afterlife, where he learns that heaven is not a lush Garden of Eden, but a place where your earthly life is explained to you by five people who were in it. These people may have been loved ones or distant strangers. Yet each of them changed your path forever. Wanna know who the five people that Eddie met in heaven? The Blue Man, his Captain, the owner of the amusement park, Ruby; the person he loved the most, His Wife; and lastly, The kid named Tala. Wanna know more abou the story ? Well for sure you need to go grab that book and read it.

After you read this novel, you could see how the author elaborate the storyline of the main character of the novel from a very optimist person in life into a hopeless person. It is a very interesting story as the author implemented different types of settings during Eddie`s meeting with the peoples in the heaven. All of his life events were played back to him like a movie replay. It is so different from the other novels that I have read.

This book is a good read that many of you will enjoy. The next time you’re at the bookstore or library pick it up. It certainly will make you think about your life in a new way.

Before i end this post, here is my rating for this book: 8/10

I think that`s all from us for now and enjoy reading this novel! Do visit our blog again to read for more novels review.

Assassin's Creed : Black Flag

Hi all.. ! its me today!.. Den!

Guess what? today I am going to take a review on a book that i have just finished reading... its the
ASSASSIN'S CREED 4 BLACKFLAG!!!

I think this story is the best story that i have ever read in my entire life because this story originated from the video game.. of course i played the video game first before reading the book.. the main theme of this story is about pirates, assassins and templars.. you have never heard about templars, don't you?

ok so this is the cover page of the book.. just a simple book actually... hehe

Author

so basically, about the author, the name is Oliver Bowden..
i don't want to talk much about the author..because.. yeah. its not interesting.. he is an assassin maniac ... thats all.. hehe
the author had made a few book of assassins creed before which is assassins creed 1,2, and 3. blackflag is the fourth.

and he also already made the fifth assassins creed which is the fifth one, named assassins creed unity.
i cannot wait to read that one though.. because i cannot wait for the next story.

Summary of the book

this is the summary that i understand, so i think the story that i tell will be a little bit different with the actual story.. because this is the story that i understand.
the story is about a man, named Edward Kenway. At the beginning he wanted to became a privateer, who works not for the government. this is because if he work for them his wage would be very small. So he choose to work alone in the seas. Then, during his work, he went across with a man, named Duncan Walpole. Duncan Walpole was on his way to Havana, a place in Spain.

then, Edward Kenway took Duncan's identity to meet the templars, and then he know about the Observatory..

On his way to find the observatory he meet with a lot of obstacles. he killed many of his enemies with the skill of being an assassin.

he thought that the observatory can bring many good things like wealth and fun.. but instead, he was wrong.. the observatory was only an item to see at distant places. a tool to be used by the people to stalk and see on everyone's secrets..

so during the gameplay i was like very curious what was the observatory actually means..
at last Edward finally get the observatory and the head of assassin keep it in a safe place.

at the ending of the story Edward settles to know that he has a daughter and later he have another child, name Haytam. It is how the story ends..

Moral Values

throughout this story, there are many moral values that i can get. this includes;

1. we should not betray our own friend.
2. we should never be afraid of doing something that is right
3. we should always take care of those we love.
4. we should be very careful in everything we do.
5. we must forgive those who did wrong to us.

well i think that is all about the moral values..

My Rating of this book

well.. i am really satisfied with this book so I am sure I can give high rating for this book..
I rate this book 9.5/10.. quite high isn't it? well.. what are you guys waiting for? Hurry up and go to the bookstore to buy this book..!!! hehe.. ok ..

My recommendation

i hope that when you, our readers, read this, we hope that you have interest to read this book.. it is a very special book for those who love adventurous story like me. so what are you guys waiting for? go and grab the book at local bookstore. it is very cheap anyways... Thanks for updating yourself in our blog by the way.. See you guys next time..!!!!  :):)

now.. this is the video of the gameplay of the assassins creed gameplay..
well its pretty much similar between the story from the book and the gameplay..
so you can choose either to play the game or to read.. but .. if you want to get the best experience, I suggest you to do both; read, and play.

My Rating of this book

well.. i am really satisfied with this book so I am sure I can give high rating for this book..
I rate this book 9.5/10.. quite high isn't it? well.. what are you guys waiting for? Hurry up and go to the bookstore to buy this book..!!! hehe.. ok

THE SCAR by Sergey and Maria Dyachenko
Sergey & Maria Dyachenko

The novel of The Scar

The novel is at first written in Russia which then been translated into English. Here is what the novel are all about:
Arriving at a long ways past swords and magic, The Scar is a story of two individuals torn by debacle, their plunge into depression, and their reemergence through affection and boldness. Sergey and Marina Dyachenko blend sensational scenes with sentiment, activity and wit, in a style both immediate and melodious. Composed with a beyond any doubt creative hand, The Scar is the story of a man determined by his hot devils to discover reclamation and the woman who could possibly spare him.
Egert is a brash, certain part of the first class watches and a narcissistic adulterer. In any case after he slaughters a guiltless student in a duel, a baffling man known as "The Wanderer" challenges Egert and slices his face with his sword, leaving Egert with a scar that comes to symbolize his cowardice. Not able to end his affliction by his hand, Egert leaves on an odyssey to undiscovered the condemnation and the repulsive harm he has created, which can only be repaired by a terrible trip down a long and frightening way.
For this post, we would like to bring a new element to this blog which is the praises that were given to the novel . We think that it might help you to make decision better. So, here comes the praises.
The other version of the novel's cover
The praises for The Scar
“Rich, vivid, tactile prose, with a solid yet unpredictable plot–and an extraordinary depth and intensity character reminiscent of the finest Russian literature. A truly spellbinding work even audiences jaded by standard U.S/U.K fantasy will devour.” – Kirkus Reviews (starred review)

“Reminiscent of Ptricia Mckillip’s fairy-tale style, this elegant debut by a husband-and-wife team from Kiev combines the somber beauty of the Russian literature with the allegoric power of a traditional folk tale. The theme of the double-edged nature of curses should appeal to readers outside the fantasy genre.” – Library Journal

“An orthodox story fringed with magic, romance, secret societies, and whispers of the end time.” – Booklist
Well, I hope all of you also enjoy reading this post and the novel also. That’s all from us. Do come again for updates.. See ya

So, this is the book that we have read..

The book of The Scarlet Letter

Summary of the book

Inside the jail is one Hester Prynne, an adulteress who's just about to be released from prison so that she can be paraded through town, displaying the scarlet "A" that she's been forced to wear as evidence of her adultery. How do we know she's an adulteress? She's got a baby daughter, Pearl, but her husband has been away for two full years. Even we can do the math on that one. Despite all the shaming, Hester protects Pearl's father from punishment by refusing to give up his name.

The adultery parade is winding through town when… Hester's long-lost husband arrives in disguise! Once she's back in prison, he shows up and orders her to keep her mouth shut so he can carry out his evil plan of ferreting out and seeking revenge on her lover. For some reason, she agrees.

Hester's husband tells the townspeople that he's a physician named Roger Chillingworth. He's a smart fellow, so he realizes pretty quickly that the Reverend Arthur Dimmesdale is the likely father of Hester's baby. Obviously, his next step is to stalk the minister day and night. The minister is too afraid to confess his sin publicly, but he's feeling pretty guilty, not to mention antsy from Chillingworth's constant examination, and also maybe in a little pain from strange red mark that's on his chest

Oh, and this goes on for seven years.
Finally, Hester realizes that her husband has been doing some really evil psychological manipulation to the man she loves, and she reveals Chillingworth's true identity to Dimmesdale. They planned to settle in England and create a new life together.

Yay, happy ending!

Or not. Dimmesdale suddenly backs out and confesses his sin to the townspeople on the scaffold where Hester was publicly shamed seven years earlier. He goes out surprisingly by ripping his shirt open to reveal the mark on his chest, just before dying.
That's all very dramatic and satisfying, but it's not the end. About a year later, Chillingworth dies and leaves all his money and property to Pearl, which means she and her mom can finally get themselves out of that awful community and return to England to build a new life. Yay, happy ending for sure this time!

Not quite. Years later, Hester actually return to the colony, resuming the scarlet letter of her own will. When she dies, she's buried near the minister, and they share a gravestone marked with the letter "A".

Our suggestion and thoughts

  • This book is a very good book for everyone especially to those who loves romance type books and love type books
  • The story of the book is interesting and meaningful.
  • There are many lessons that can be learnt from this book.
  • The book was worth reading
  • Possible problems : at the beginning of the book, the plot was not well elaborated, about Chillingworth's character.
  • Overall, we are satisfied with this book.
  • We would read more books like this in this future.
  • Last but not least, this book can improve our vocabulary because it uses a wide usage of vocabulary.

Lessons that can be learnt from this book

  • Committing adultery is a wrong thing to do. No matter how long your life companion leaves you, you should not commit such things as adultery, because it is a sin and it is a very serious offense to your spouse if you do it.
  • We should not judge any person by only looking at his look or in other words, do not judge a bok by its cover. This is because, in the book, it shows how a guilty person that repent is better than someone who wants to revenge on someone and become more evil each day.
  • Lastly, honesty is very important in every aspects in life. for example, if Arthur is honest, he could have settled the problems seven years before he dies. Another example is, if Hester is honest enough towards her husband, she would not commit adultery with Arthur.

Conclusion.....

well, we think that is all for this book, all that we can share we have already shared it here..
Wait.. DO YOU WANT TO KNOW  MORE? GO AND GRAB THE BOOK AND READ IT YOURSELF !!! :)

It is a Great great book i hope that u take your time to read it..
